I absolutely adore my job, I strive to deliver excellent customer service and enjoy every minute of being apart of brides special day. As I understand planning your wedding can be a little stressful at times I have put together a little advice on your hair accessories & Style to help make you feel fabulous on your big day.
BE PREPARED FOR AN EARLY START.
For example, if you have 6 bridesmaids, you and Mum to get ready and a 12 pm ceremony which is 30 minutes away from your prep location? You are probably going to have to start hair and makeup pretty early! Most of my clients are fully prepared when I tell them it’s to be a (6 am start ) example.
But for some, it can come as a big of a shock! The earlier the ceremony and the more people you have to hair/makeup, the earlier you’ll need to start. My average start time is around 7/7.30am for weddings, and my average party size is around 4/6 people for weddings but this does vary with each wedding I do.
My advice – if you have a lot of Bridesmaids, go for a later ceremony, it really does make for a much more stress-free morning.
It’s usually a good idea to have bridesmaids get dressed first so they then can concentrate on helping the bride.
I would recommend that you aim to be ready an hour before your ceremony begins, This means you can grab a few minutes to relax and have a little time with your wedding party before you leave for your ceremony.
Stay True to yourself & your style
The first thing to take into consideration when choosing your bridal hair, accessories is your personal style and the style of your wedding. Your wedding day isn’t the time to venture far from your personal style. Is your style more romantic? Then a sweet flower comb or hair vine will suit you beautifully. More of a trendsetter? Go for a dramatic statement piece. Also, headbands are massive on-trend at the moment.
PREPARING FOR YOUR HAIR TRIAL.
Know what you want! Your trial will go much smoother if you have an idea of what you’re looking for, Know what you don’t want, too! that can be just as helpful! Hair should be washed the day before your trial and leave natural for the appointment. It is very important not to style your hair before your trial or your big day as this will limit what we can achieve. If your hair is too soft it will cause curls to drop quicker.
So embrace day-old hair for optimum results.
We Love Pictures!!
Bring some pics along with some ideas that you may have for your bridal hair, also bring along any accessories you may have.
I would also highly recommend using hair extensions to add bulk & volume to your style.
Regardless of how thick—or long—your hair is naturally, you should still consider wearing extensions on your wedding day. “I recommend in almost all cases having some hair extensions,”
If you can arrange for your hair trial to take place on the same day, it’s an added bonus to see the full look together.
Conditioning treatments every fortnight in the months leading up to your wedding.
Benefits of doing so are
On the day your bridal hair will have plenty of va-va-voom,
