Shane & Anna’s Dream Day at Greenway Manor Hotel, Waterford

Shane and Anna’s wedding was nothing short of magical, despite the fact that the day started off with some seriously torrential rain. From the moment I arrived at Greenway Manor Hotel in Waterford, it felt like one of those typical Irish days where the heavens opened up and refused to stop. You could hear the rain pounding down all over the hotel—it was so loud at times that it almost drowned out the morning hustle and bustle.

A Perfect Venue for a Rainy Day
Luckily, Greenway Manor is an absolutely stunning venue, and having everything in one place was ideal. The hotel’s charm, both inside and out, made for the perfect backdrop no matter what the weather was doing. Anna was getting ready in one of the beautiful rooms at the manor, and she looked absolutely stunning, calm and collected, as she prepared for her big moment. Shane, meanwhile, was just as relaxed and excited, and the two of them couldn’t stop giggling as they exchanged vows. It was a lovely, light-hearted ceremony full of warmth.

Rain, Rain, Go Away
I have to admit, I spent a good part of the morning praying to the weather gods for just 15 minutes of clear skies. After the ceremony, it seemed like my prayers were finally answered! The rain miraculously stopped just long enough for us to head outside and grab some outdoor shots. The grounds of Greenway Manor are simply breathtaking, so I was thrilled to get some photos of Shane and Anna wandering through the greenery, taking in the fresh post-rain air.

Even with the brief break in the weather, we had to get creative with some indoor shots. On days like this, it’s a blessing to know some off-camera flash techniques, and we definitely put them to good use inside the charming hotel. The atmosphere in Greenway Manor is so cozy, with its elegant interiors and warm lighting, that it was the perfect setting for some intimate and creative shots.

A Truly Special Day
Despite the unpredictable weather, Shane and Anna’s wedding turned out to be a day full of laughter, love, and those little moments that make weddings so special. The team at Greenway Manor Hotel were amazing throughout, making sure everything ran smoothly, rain or shine. I want to give a huge thank you to the staff for their incredible hospitality, and of course, a big thanks to Shane and Anna for allowing me to capture their unforgettable day.
