October weather held good for Adam & Lisa’s wedding at the beautiful @kinsalehotelandspa. Both now live in Australia—like so many Irish couples, Lisa trained as a nurse here before heading to Oz with Adam. They came home to get married and throw one hell of a party for family and friends.
The morning started with makeup underway at the apartments. I always keep the cameras down first—just a chat, a few jokes, a coffee. It breaks the ice, and everyone relaxes. Once the laughter starts, that’s when the real photos happen.
The Ceremony at Kinsale Hotel & Spa
The ceremony room at Kinsale Hotel & Spa is vast, with natural light streaming through huge windows that overlook the bay. It was emotional from the start, marked by an empty chair with a white shawl—a space for Lisa’s mother who sadly is no longer with us. Lisa carried herself tall and strong, Adam at her side, both grounded and calm. You could feel their bond without words.
Photos at Charles Fort
Once vows were done, we made our way to Charles Fort, one of my favourite spots in Kinsale for portraits. Another couple were there too, but everyone shared smiles and congratulations as we passed. Inside, the craic was brilliant. A few Spanish tourists wandered through, so I said, “Lads, hop in for a photo sure—why not?” A few laughs later, we had a shot to remember: bride, groom, and three new friends from Spain.

The Celebration
Back at the hotel, the evening came alive. The reception room glowed under warm lights, filled with laughter and great energy. The flowers by @daisychainkinsale added soft colour to the tables, tying everything together beautifully. The band @the_coolahoops got everyone moving before DJ Bertie @bertiemeehan took over and brought the house down.
Hair was by the amazing @lynseyolearyx, makeup by @thebeautysuite_macroom, and Lisa’s stunning gown was from @houseofcb. Every detail fit the day perfectly.
