The best wedding photographs usually happen seconds after people stop thinking about the camera.
Kerry Wedding Photographer Relaxed, Natural & Completely Unscripted.
Beautiful photographs without turning your wedding into an all-day photoshoot.
Kerry is one of those places that never needs much help from a photographer. Killarney has the lakes and mountains. Dingle has the Atlantic, the colour and that wild stretch of coastline. Kenmare has its own quieter charm, and West Kerry can look completely different every time the weather turns.
But scenery isn't what makes a Kerry wedding worth remembering. It's the people standing in it.
I'm James from JOD Photography. I photograph weddings throughout Kerry with a relaxed, documentary approach built around real moments, real personalities and giving you enough space to actually enjoy your wedding.
I'm not going to drag you away from your guests for hours because the mountains look nice. We'll use the landscape when it gives us something special, get the photographs that matter, and get you back to the people you invited to celebrate with you.
And Kerry being Kerry, the plan might change. The light disappears. The wind arrives sideways. Rain rolls across the mountains and ten minutes later the whole place lights up again.
That's fine. You don't need perfect weather for great wedding photographs. You need someone who can see what's happening, adapt quickly and keep the day moving without turning everything into a production.
Killarney · Dingle · Tralee · Kenmare · Listowel · Killorglin · Cahersiveen · West Kerry & throughout County Kerry
People create the moments. I just make sure they're not lost.

Kerry Gives Us Some Incredible Backdrops. But Your Wedding Still Comes First.
I've photographed weddings across Kerry in everything from bright summer sunshine to rain coming sideways off the Atlantic. The scenery is spectacular, but I don't believe you should spend half your wedding day driving around chasing photographs. We use what's around us, make something brilliant from it, and get you back to your people.
Killarney
Lakes, woodland, mountains and some of Kerry's best-known wedding venues all within a relatively small area. Killarney gives us plenty of options without needing to turn the afternoon into a location tour.
Dingle & West Kerry
Wild coastline, open Atlantic light, beaches, mountains and weather that can change the photograph completely in ten minutes. It's brilliant when the plan stays flexible and we work with whatever Kerry decides to give us.
Kenmare & South Kerry
A different feel again. Quieter roads, mountains, water and beautiful countryside around Kenmare, Sneem and the Ring of Kerry. Perfect when the surroundings add to the photographs without taking over the wedding.
Tralee & North Kerry
From Tralee and Ballyseede to Listowel and the wider North Kerry countryside, there is no shortage of great wedding locations. Often the best photographs are much closer to the venue than couples expect.
Killorglin & Mid Kerry
Mountains, rivers, open countryside and easy access towards both Killarney and the coast. It gives us plenty to work with while keeping the photography practical and the wedding day moving.
Cahersiveen & The Iveragh Peninsula
Big landscapes, Atlantic weather and some extraordinary stretches of coastline. When the light and weather cooperate, fantastic. When they don't, we adapt. That's part of photographing weddings in Kerry.
Your Kerry Wedding Doesn't Need a Famous View to Make Great Photographs.
I photograph weddings throughout County Kerry, including Killarney, Dingle, Tralee, Kenmare, Listowel, Killorglin, Cahersiveen, West Kerry and the smaller towns and villages in between. Sometimes the photograph is beside a lake or underneath a mountain. Sometimes it's outside the pub, in a hotel corridor or five metres from the dance floor. The place matters, but the people matter more.
Some of Kerry's Best Locations Need a Little Planning Beforehand.
Some National Park, OPW and other managed locations may require advance permission for professional wedding photography. I carry the appropriate professional insurance and can arrange or apply for the required photography permissions where necessary.
So if you're hoping for wedding photographs in Killarney National Park or another managed location around Kerry, we can check what is required beforehand and deal with it properly rather than discovering a problem when we're standing there on the wedding day.
Less paperwork for you. No surprises on the day.
Real Reviews From Real Couples
The best way to understand what it's like having me photograph your wedding is to hear it from the couples themselves. These are genuine Google reviews from weddings across Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare and beyond.

Prestige
The album I keep coming back to
A wedding album should feel as good as the photographs inside it.
Forever and Eternity include a handcrafted 30 × 30cm / 12 × 12" wedding album, designed around up to 80 photographs from your day. You’ll have a choice of finishes, but if you ask me which one I’d choose, I’ll nearly always point you towards the Acrylic Prestige.
The crystal-clear acrylic cover gives the photograph real depth and the lay-flat design lets the story flow beautifully across the page. It feels substantial without being fussy, and it’s exactly the kind of album I want my couples to still be taking down from the shelf years from now.
No long wait afterwards
See a little of it while it still feels fresh.
I aim to share a small selection of sneak peeks as soon as I can after your wedding. If I’m not photographing another wedding the following day, that can often mean the very next day. Your complete gallery is delivered within 4–6 weeks, although, as many of my reviews mention, it’s often considerably sooner.
Your photographs are yours to keep
Download them. Back them up. Keep them safe.
Your private online gallery makes it easy to view, share and download your photographs in high resolution. Intimate and Moments galleries remain online for 3 months, while Memories, Forever and Eternity galleries remain online for 6 months. You can download as often as you like while your gallery is live. Once it arrives, I always recommend downloading the complete collection and keeping at least one extra backup somewhere safe, as the online gallery isn’t intended as permanent cloud storage.

Make it yours
Enhance Your Collection
Start with the collection that suits your day, then add only the things that genuinely matter to you. There’s no need to squeeze your wedding into a package just because that’s how the price list was written.
