Over the last 15 years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to earn 58 international photography awards and see my work featured across Ireland’s top wedding platforms. I’m deeply grateful for that industry recognition, but having achieved it, my focus naturally evolved. I realized that while a perfectly staged photo might impress a panel of judges, it will never hold the same weight as a split-second, unscripted moment that actually happened. I shoot for the stories as they naturally unfold, capturing the genuine craic, the unscripted tears, and portraits of the loved ones who won't be around forever. Because long after the day is done, it’s those fleeting, honest moments that will last forever.
Look, I get it. I hear it every single week. Usually, it's the exact same dynamic: one of you is mildly okay with a lens, and the other would honestly rather do their own dental work than pose for a profile picture. You want the day to be completely candid, and you dread the idea of a photographer shouting orders.
Here’s the honest truth: **I’m not a fan of stiff, awkward poses either.** My entire philosophy is built around the fact that the best photos happen when you completely forget I’m holding a camera.
Instead of dragging you away from your guests for hours, I prefer to blend right into the chaos. I’ll stroll into the house, probably have a cup of tea, have a laugh with your family, and just ball-hop off the room. By the time the dress is on and the laces are tied, I'm just part of the furniture.
