Cíaran & Megan’s wedding at The Heights Hotel Killarney had all of it.

A Morning Full of Warmth
When I arrived at Megan’s house, it wasn’t nerves I walked into — it was love. Real, grounded, down-to-earth love. The kind that makes you feel at home within minutes.
Then something happened that stopped us all.
Megan’s father walked into the room holding a drawing. A 13-year-old girl had used coloured pencils to create a portrait of Megan and Cíaran as bride and groom. It was absolutely stunning. Not just because of the talent — but because of the heart behind it.
You could feel what this wedding meant to everyone.
That kind of family energy carries through a whole day.
The Ceremony & The Heights Hotel Killarney
The reception took place at The Heights Hotel Killarney, one of the most welcoming venues for any Killarney wedding photographer.
The light was kind to us. The Kerry sun decided to show up. And the ceremony felt intimate and powerful at the same time.
I clipped small microphones onto the lads and asked them to say a few words to Cíaran.
It’s rare.
Actually, it’s very rare.
Four grown men looking into a camera and telling their friend they love him.
Men don’t say it enough. We joke. We slag. We bury it in humour. But on this day, they said it while he could hear it.
Parents and grandparents shared quiet words. Later in the evening, the bridesmaids delivered beautiful messages wrapped in humour — taking the piss the way we do, but meaning every word.
That’s what makes Irish weddings powerful. The joke is there. But the love is louder.
