Braving the Elements – A Wild Irish Pre-Wedding Shoot
We started at the Gap of Dunloe, a place that feels like stepping into another world. The sun was out, but the wind was relentless, howling through the valley, rattling off the mountains, and battering us below.
But in true Irish fashion, you just get on with it. Kieran & Eva embraced it—laughing, holding on to each other, and enjoying every windswept moment.
We climbed higher, hoping for some shelter, but the wind only got stronger. That’s the magic of shooting in Ireland—it’s unpredictable, but it always makes for epic, unforgettable images.
Off the Beaten Path – Into the Black Valley
After battling the elements in the Gap of Dunloe, I suggested we go deeper into the Black Valley, one of Kerry’s most remote and untouched landscapes. The drive itself was breathtaking, with the sun breaking through the clouds, casting golden light across the valley.
Tucked away here is Moll’s Cottage, a place filled with history and surrounded by some of the most spectacular views in Ireland. Kieran & Eva had never been here before, and their reaction said it all.
As we walked along the valley, taking in the stillness, it was a reminder of how lucky we are to have places like this right on our doorstep. There’s something special about exploring our own country, stepping into history, and capturing these quiet, powerful moments together.
Why Do a Pre-Wedding Shoot?
A pre-wedding shoot is about more than just photos—it’s about:
✅ Getting comfortable in front of the camera before your big day
✅ Exploring Ireland’s most stunning landscapes together
✅ Having a fun, relaxed experience that’s just about you
✅ Creating epic images without the time pressure of a wedding day
And with a photographer who knows the best locations, you’ll get something truly unique—something that feels like an adventure, not just a photoshoot.
