A Huge Shout-Out to Castletroy Park Hotel
I have to start this blog with a proper shout-out to the incredible team at Castletroy Park Hotel. Stuart and Dawn’s wedding didn’t just run smoothly — it was handled with serious care and professionalism from start to finish.
The outdoor setup looked unreal, and when the weather turned (as it always does here), everything was moved indoors quickly and calmly. No stress, no panic — just a team that clearly knows what they’re doing.
What stood out most though was how sound they were. Warm, friendly, and genuinely good with people. It made the whole day feel easy and relaxed.
Stuart & Dawn – A Long Time Coming
Stuart and Dawn are school sweethearts, and you could feel that history all day. Nothing forced, nothing awkward — just two people who’ve been together forever finally getting married.
From the start, you knew this was going to be a proper good day.
Morning Craic – Limerick vs Cork
The morning started at Stuart’s parents’ house, and straight away the slagging began. The All-Ireland semi-final between Limerick and Cork was the next day, so there was no avoiding it.
The Limerick lads were confident — very confident. Four in a row, going for five… they were reminding me fairly quick. Being from Cork, I had to fire a few back.
All good-natured, all part of the buzz. It lifted the whole morning.
Bridal Prep at Castletroy Park Hotel
Over at the hotel, Dawn and her bridesmaids brought the same energy. Plenty of laughs, music going, stories flying around.
Dawn was completely in the moment. No stress, just excited and ready.
The Weather Turned… And It Didn’t Matter
The ceremony was planned outdoors, everything set perfectly — and then the rain came.
But fair play to the hotel team, they moved everything inside in no time. No disruption, no drop in energy.
Honestly, it didn’t take anything away from the day.
A Ceremony Full of Real Moments
Once things got going, it was all about Stuart and Dawn. Real emotion, a few tears, plenty of laughs.
The kind of ceremony that feels natural, not staged. Just people being themselves.
The Reception – Proper Irish Wedding Craic
The reception brought everything up another level. Every table had something going on — laughter, stories, and more hurling talk.
I couldn’t walk through the room without someone reminding me Cork were in trouble the next day.
That kind of atmosphere — that’s what makes weddings here so good.
A First Dance Done Right
The first dance was to “I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez — perfect choice.
The room slowed down, everyone tuned in, and you could see exactly what the day meant to them.
The Day After Twist
The next day, sitting down to edit… Cork beat Limerick.
After all the slagging the day before, I’ll admit — I had a quiet smile to myself.
Timing is everything.
Why Days Like This Matter
This is what weddings are about. Not perfection — just people, energy, and real moments.
Stuart and Dawn’s day had all of that.
From the laughs in the morning to the dance floor at night, it was just a great day to be part of.

Final Thank You
Stuart and Dawn — thank you for letting me be part of it. Unreal day from start to finish.
To the team at Castletroy Park Hotel — top class as always.
And to everyone there — the laughs, the energy, the craic… made the whole thing what it was.
