James & Shonagh’s Memorable Cork Wedding: Cityscape Magic

It was a day to remember in Cork, celebrating James & Shonagh’s big day at the luxurious Clayton Hotel Silver Springs. The couple exchanged vows in the hotel’s grand room, a stunning space perfect for such an elegant occasion. With the sun shining and a light breeze, everything felt just right. The day was filled with warmth, both in the weather and from the people celebrating with them.

After the ceremony, we made our way to Millennium Park for some light-hearted shots with the bridal party. The park provided the perfect backdrop of greenery and charm, capturing moments of pure joy and laughter. From there, James & Shonagh wanted something a bit different, so we headed to Cork City’s docks—a perfect spot for unique, urban-style portraits. The industrial feel of the docks was a great contrast to the earlier lush park shots, giving them a fantastic variety in their wedding album.

The day wouldn’t have been as seamless without the exceptional staff at Clayton Hotel Silver Springs, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. A massive thank you to the team for their dedication and service!

James & Shonagh’s wedding day was a wonderful blend of elegance, fun, and heartfelt moments. It was an honor to be their Cork wedding photographer, capturing memories they’ll treasure forever.

I’ve photographed weddings all across Munster — from candle-lit ceremonies in Gougane Barra Church to vibrant summer parties at Inish Beg Estate. I’ve worked in elegant venues like Ballyseede Castle, The Brehon Hotel Killarney, Maryborough House Hotel, and The Maritime Hotel Bantry, to scenic estates like Blackwater Castle, Fernhill House, and Fota Island Resort.

I’ve also covered unforgettable wedding days at The Radisson Blu Little Island, Actons Hotel Kinsale, Garryvoe Hotel, Vienna Woods Hotel, Trident Hotel Kinsale, Charleville Park Hotel, The Kingsley Hotel Cork, and Springfort Hall.

If you’re tying the knot in Clonakilty, Dingle, Kilkee, Adare, Kenmare, or along the Wild Atlantic Way — chances are, I’ve photographed there. Every venue and county has its own vibe, and I’ve learned how to adapt my style to suit the setting — whether it’s a grand ballroom, a coastal clifftop, or a rustic field in Tipperary.

Wedding photography in Munster is not just about photos — it’s about capturing real moments, working with Irish weather (and craic), and making sure your story feels as authentic as your day. And I’ve done just that at venues like Dunraven Arms Hotel Adare, Ferrycarrig Hotel, Woodlands House Hotel, Ballygarry Estate, Parknasilla Resort, and Aghadoe Heights.

No matter where your day takes place — I know how to find the light, the laugh, and the love in the middle of it all.
