I’ve been meaning to write this blog post for a while, but life’s been a whirlwind lately—transferring my website to WordPress and wrangling all my assets has kept me on my toes. Still, I couldn’t wait any longer to share the story of Shane and Nicole’s incredible wedding. So, let’s dive in.
I’ve known Shane and Nicole for a few years now, ever since I photographed one of their friends’ weddings. That day was something else—an epic celebration in West Cork, down by Clonakilty, with the ocean stretching out before us and scenery that could stop you in your tracks. That tight-knit crew left an impression; they’d do anything for each other, and the energy was electric. When Nicole reached out to book me for her and Shane’s big day, I knew we were in for some mighty craic.
The big day went down at the stunning Kenmare Bay Hotel in County Kerry, and we couldn’t have scored better weather if we’d begged. Blue skies, a mild breeze, and the odd shower to keep us on our toes—it was, as we’d say in Ireland, grand. Shane’s groomsmen were a pack of comedians, each one up for a laugh and adding to the buzz. Nicole’s bridesmaids were just as wild. She was the ringleader, no doubt, but those girls were there to party, with the vows as a quick breather before the fun kicked back in. It was spot on.
After the ceremony, we strolled down to the lake, the Macgillycuddy Reeks mountain range looming in the background. The views were something else, and the photos we nabbed there? Pure magic. But the real heart-stealer was the father-daughter dance. Those moments always hit me hard—the quiet emotion, the bond, the way a dad looks at his girl all grown up. Shane and Nicole’s day was packed with those precious bits, and that dance is one I’ll carry with me.
I’ve got to tip my hat to everyone who made it happen. Shane and Nicole—thanks for letting me capture your story. You’re a cracking pair, and your love lights up the room. To the guests, you brought the spirit and the laughs that made this day one for the books. And to the Kenmare Bay Hotel staff, fair play—you kept it all seamless, and the setting was top-notch. Days like this don’t come around often, and I’m chuffed to have been part of it.
Kerry has some of the most unforgettable wedding locations in Ireland. Whether you’re planning a wild adventure session in the mountains or a timeless celebration in Killarney, you’ll find every kind of backdrop here. I’ve photographed couples all across the county — and below are some of the most popular Kerry wedding pages to explore:
Each page is filled with real wedding stories, photos, and planning tips to help you picture your own celebration in Kerry.
Kerry isn’t just another location — it’s a place that demands to be photographed with care. From the wild weather shifts on the Gap of Dunloe, to the soft evening light on Muckross Lake, you need someone who knows how to adapt fast, tell your story honestly, and capture the real moments in between the poses.
That’s what I do. I don’t stage your day to look like someone else’s — I focus on the laughter, the nerves, the mad Irish weather, and the moments you’ll look back on in ten years with a smile. Having worked across every corner of Kerry, I know the light, the angles, and how to make sure you’re relaxed while I do the running around.
This isn’t about “just photos.” It’s about having a wedding story you can feel every time you open your album.
