Yes. Clare is particularly well suited to smaller weddings and elopements because you've got an enormous amount of landscape packed into one county.

The Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Doolin, Lahinch, Spanish Point, Kilkee and the wider West Clare coast all give very different possibilities depending on your plans, the weather and how much privacy you want.

The landscape can be spectacular, but the two of you are still the story. I don't want an elopement to become a two-hour landscape photoshoot with a wedding attached to it.

Potentially, yes, but it needs to make sense for your actual wedding day. Timing, weather, access, crowds and any permissions or restrictions that apply all need to be considered.

And the Cliffs aren't compulsory just because you're getting married in Clare. Sometimes the better decision is a quieter stretch of coast, the Burren, or simply staying at a brilliant venue and enjoying your guests.

The photograph should be worth the time it takes away from your wedding.

We change the plan, not the wedding.

Clare's Atlantic weather can move quickly. A wet morning can turn into incredible evening light, and wind and cloud can sometimes give us far more atmosphere than a perfectly clear sky.

I'll use the venue, windows, covered areas and indoor light when we need them. If a dry spell appears later, we take advantage of it.

Rain is a photography problem for me to solve. It shouldn't become a wedding-day problem for you.

Absolutely. You don't need to arrive knowing where to put your hands, how to stand or what your "good side" is.

Most of the wedding is photographed candidly. When portraits, bridal-party photographs or family photographs need some direction, I'll give you enough to get things moving and then let the real reactions happen.

The aim isn't to make you brilliant at posing. It's to make posing largely irrelevant.

Not necessarily, and I certainly wouldn't leave a great venue just because wedding photographers are apparently supposed to put couples into cars and drive them somewhere.

If your venue gives us good light, interesting interiors, grounds or nearby scenery, we use what's there.

If there's somewhere nearby that's genuinely worth it and you want to go, brilliant. But your wedding shouldn't stop for an unnecessary photography expedition.

As little as we need.

I prefer shorter portrait sessions rather than disappearing with you for a huge chunk of the afternoon. We can create a strong set of photographs, get you back to your guests, and grab another few minutes later if the light suddenly becomes ridiculous.

You get the photographs and you still get to attend your own wedding.

I send sneak peeks very quickly, often the next day when I don't have another wedding immediately after yours.

Your complete wedding gallery is delivered within 4–6 weeks, often considerably sooner.
