A Magical Day in Kinsale
David & Fiona’s wedding was the kind that every Cork wedding photographer dreams of capturing. Surrounded by family, friends, and the charm of Kinsale, it didn’t feel like work at all—it felt like a day out with friends who just happened to remind me to bring my camera! The couple tied the knot in the heart of Kinsale at the stunning Actons Hotel, a venue that’s as rooted in the beauty of Kinsale as the town itself.
Actons Hotel: A Jewel of Kinsale
Located right on the waterfront, Actons Hotel Kinsale is known for its beautiful views over Kinsale Harbour and a welcoming atmosphere that blends luxury with charm. With over 75 years of history, Actons is a beloved venue for romantic Irish weddings, offering everything from scenic indoor spaces to gorgeous outdoor photo spots. The team at Actons made sure every detail was perfect for David and Fiona’s special day.
The Ceremony & Celebration
The ceremony took place in one of Actons’ grand rooms, filled with natural light and the love of family and friends. The atmosphere was electric, with minimal nerves thanks to the supportive bridal party, who kept the laughter flowing from morning till night. Each guest seemed just as excited as David and Fiona, creating an unforgettable experience full of genuine smiles and a party vibe that kicked off long before the first dance.
A Tour of Kinsale and Charles Fort
After the ceremony, we set out to explore Kinsale, capturing some gorgeous portraits that highlighted the town’s unique character. Known for its winding streets, colorful buildings, and breathtaking seascapes, Kinsale is a photographer’s dream. For a truly memorable experience, we took the couple to Charles Fort, a historic fort just outside the town, for some epic, creative shots. With views stretching across the harbor, it was the perfect backdrop to showcase David and Fiona’s connection in a setting that was equal parts romantic and dramatic.
The First Dance and Celebrations
As the day turned to evening, it was time for the first dance. Friends and family gathered around, cheering on the newlyweds as they took to the dance floor. You could tell from the guests’ excitement that they were eager to join in, just waiting for their chance to throw a few dance shapes themselves! The craic was mighty, with every guest contributing to the joyous energy that filled the room.

Forever and Eternity include a handcrafted 30 × 30cm / 12 × 12" wedding album, designed around up to 80 photographs from your day. You’ll have a choice of finishes, but if you ask me which one I’d choose, I’ll nearly always point you towards the Acrylic Prestige.
The crystal-clear acrylic cover gives the photograph real depth and the lay-flat design lets the story flow beautifully across the page. It feels substantial without being fussy, and it’s exactly the kind of album I want my couples to still be taking down from the shelf years from now.
No long wait afterwards
See a little of it while it still feels fresh.
I aim to share a small selection of sneak peeks as soon as I can after your wedding. If I’m not photographing another wedding the following day, that can often mean the very next day. Your complete gallery is delivered within 4–6 weeks, although, as many of my reviews mention, it’s often considerably sooner.
Your photographs are yours to keep
Download them. Back them up. Keep them safe.
Your private online gallery makes it easy to view, share and download your photographs in high resolution. Intimate and Moments galleries remain online for 3 months, while Memories, Forever and Eternity galleries remain online for 6 months. You can download as often as you like while your gallery is live. Once it arrives, I always recommend downloading the complete collection and keeping at least one extra backup somewhere safe, as the online gallery isn’t intended as permanent cloud storage.
