Prestige
The album I keep coming back to
A wedding album should feel as good as the photographs inside it.
Forever and Eternity include a handcrafted 30 × 30cm / 12 × 12" wedding album, designed around up to 80 photographs from your day. You’ll have a choice of finishes, but if you ask me which one I’d choose, I’ll nearly always point you towards the Acrylic Prestige.
The crystal-clear acrylic cover gives the photograph real depth and the lay-flat design lets the story flow beautifully across the page. It feels substantial without being fussy, and it’s exactly the kind of album I want my couples to still be taking down from the shelf years from now.
No long wait afterwards
See a little of it while it still feels fresh.
I aim to share a small selection of sneak peeks as soon as I can after your wedding. If I’m not photographing another wedding the following day, that can often mean the very next day. Your complete gallery is delivered within 4–6 weeks, although, as many of my reviews mention, it’s often considerably sooner.
Your photographs are yours to keep
Download them. Back them up. Keep them safe.
Your private online gallery makes it easy to view, share and download your photographs in high resolution. Intimate and Moments galleries remain online for 3 months, while Memories, Forever and Eternity galleries remain online for 6 months. You can download as often as you like while your gallery is live. Once it arrives, I always recommend downloading the complete collection and keeping at least one extra backup somewhere safe, as the online gallery isn’t intended as permanent cloud storage.

Make it yours
Enhance Your Collection
Start with the collection that suits your day, then add only the things that genuinely matter to you. There’s no need to squeeze your wedding into a package just because that’s how the price list was written.
Talk to Me About Your PlansSecond Photographer
Another pair of eyes on the day. Particularly useful for separate morning preparations, larger weddings and those moments happening in two places at once.
Engagement Session
A relaxed session before the wedding, with no wedding-day timetable. A chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and come away with photographs you actually like.
Parent Albums
Beautiful handcrafted versions of your wedding album for the people who will want to sit down, turn the pages and relive the day with you.
Baltimore in West Cork has always been a hidden gem for photographers. The Beacon — a tall, white stone tower perched dramatically on the cliffs — has guided sailors into the harbour for centuries. For me, it’s also one of the most rewarding places in Ireland to capture sunsets.
I recently spent an evening there, camera in hand, waiting for that magical moment when the light and the Atlantic Ocean combine to create something unforgettable. This is the story of that shoot, and why The Beacon should be on every photographer’s list.
Arriving at Baltimore’s Beacon – The Ultimate Sunset Photography Spot
Baltimore itself is charming, but my eyes were fixed on the cliffs. The Beacon stood out against the blue sky, its bright stone waiting for evening light. I arrived hours early, parked up, and walked out towards the tower with my gear.
The wind off the Atlantic was brisk, carrying the sounds of waves crashing far below. By arriving early, I could scout angles and compositions. Sunset photography is all about timing — but planning where to stand is just as important as when to click.
Waiting for the Sunset – The Dance of Light and Shadow
The hours before sunset are a photographer’s test of patience. The sky kept shifting — clouds moving in and out, light softening. Would it be fiery and dramatic, or calm and muted?
I took test shots of The Beacon against the afternoon sky, adjusting for contrast between the brilliant white stone and the deep blues of the ocean. With each passing minute, anticipation grew.
Capturing the Moment – Baltimore Sunset Photography at Its Best
Finally, the horizon began to glow. First orange, then pink, then violet. The Beacon was silhouetted against a sky that looked like a painting.
One of my favourite frames came just as the sun dipped halfway down, light catching the top of the tower while the cliffs stretched long shadows across the sea. I shot wide for drama, then tighter to focus on the textures of stone against fire-coloured sky.
Every few seconds the light changed, and I kept clicking. That’s the beauty of sunsets — no two are ever the same.
Reviewing the Photos – The Reward of Patience and Skill
By the time twilight fell, the calm of evening matched my own quiet satisfaction. Back at my desk, I loaded the images and scrolled through.
Some were imperfect, sure — too bright, a little soft — but the best ones were special. The Beacon bathed in soft orange light, the Atlantic smooth beneath it, sky painted in surreal layers.
That’s why I love this place. Every shot tells a different story.
The Beauty of Baltimore’s Beacon – Why It’s a Must-Visit
For photographers, couples, or anyone exploring West Cork, The Beacon is more than a landmark. It’s history, drama, and harmony all in one frame.
Dramatic skies. Calm seas. Rugged cliffs. It has everything a storyteller with a camera could ask for. And for couples planning an engagement shoot or elopement in West Cork, it’s a location that guarantees something unforgettable.
Why Book JOD Photography
