Devon Inn Wedding Photographer – Denise & Kevin’s Relaxed Limerick Wedding
Some weddings just feel easy from the very beginning.
Denise & Kevin’s wedding at The Devon Inn was exactly that.
Beautiful sunshine, brilliant people, kids running around the gardens laughing, drinks outside, music flowing, and everyone simply enjoying being together.
A real wedding.
The kind weddings are supposed to be.

Before Denise & Kevin ever booked me, I had already met them at a family wedding the year before.
That’s actually where it all started.
Their son was running around with superhero figures in his hands, and sitting here writing this now, I’ll openly admit I’m still a massive Superman fan myself.
I’m literally sitting on a Superman Secretlab chair while typing this.
So naturally, I dropped down, turned the clock back about 40 years, and started playing superheroes with him.
That’s genuinely how I met them.
A little while later, I was photographing their wedding at The Devon Inn in Limerick.
And honestly, seeing it all come full circle was pretty special.

A Wedding Full of Real Moments
Denise & Kevin met during Covid.
Lockdowns stretched on longer than anyone expected, time together grew naturally, and somewhere in the middle of all that uncertainty, their relationship quietly became something bigger.
Fast forward a few years later, and there they were standing in the sunshine at The Devon Inn surrounded by family and friends.
The weather for April was unbelievable.
Drinks were outside in the gardens, kids were running everywhere laughing, grandparents were chasing after them, fathers were running around after them, guests were laughing at the chaos of it all, and honestly… isn’t that exactly what a wedding is supposed to be?
Nothing stiff.
Nothing over-controlled.
Just people being themselves.
Everything real. Nothing scripted.

Why The Devon Inn Works So Well for Weddings
The grounds at The Devon Inn are perfect for relaxed wedding photography.
On a sunny day like this one, the gardens completely come alive.
Guests naturally spill outside, conversations happen everywhere, kids take over the lawns, and there’s space for everyone to properly enjoy themselves without feeling boxed in.
That’s what makes natural wedding photography easier too.
People relax.
And when people relax, the moments become genuine.
The staff at The Devon Innare amazing.
Everything flowed naturally throughout the day, which allowed everyone to simply enjoy the wedding instead of worrying about timelines or pressure.

The Way I Photograph Weddings
I never want weddings to feel staged.
I want the messers to stay messing.
The loud uncle to stay loud.
The aunt who still thinks she’s 19 to keep dancing like she’s 19.
And the kids?
Let kids be kids.
I’ll get the photos.
For me, wedding photography has always been about real laughter, real moments, and real families.
I’ll move from one group to the next all day long, keeping energy flowing, making people laugh, blending into conversations, and capturing the stories hidden inside all those moments.
I don’t really want people changing for the camera.
I’d rather become one of you for the day.
