What a day it was! Kevin and Chloe’s wedding was a perfect blend of Cork’s wild beauty and Kerry’s elegant charm. As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of stunning locations, but this celebration took things to a whole new level.
The day kicked off at Gougane Barra Hotel, a hidden gem nestled in West Cork’s valleys. Chloe was getting ready here, and let me tell you, she was a vision of calm and beauty. The hotel, with its cozy rooms and breathtaking views, set the perfect tone for the day ahead.
Now, if you’ve never been to Gougane Barra Church, you’re missing out on one of Ireland’s most magical spots. This tiny church, sitting on an island in the lake, has a history dating back to the 6th century. As Chloe walked down the aisle, the church’s intimate setting made the moment even more special. Kevin’s face? Pure joy and love.

After the ceremony, we embarked on a scenic drive from Cork to Kerry. The journey itself was like a mini-tour of Ireland’s southwest, with landscapes changing from rugged hills to lush forests.
Arriving at The Brehon Hotel in Killarney felt like entering a different world. This place knows how to throw a party! Right next to Killarney National Park, the hotel offers views that had everyone reaching for their cameras.
The staff at The Brehon outdid themselves. From the moment we arrived, everything ran like clockwork. The reception was a perfect mix of elegance and fun – exactly what Kevin and Chloe wanted.
As a photographer, days like this are why I love my job. From the misty morning at Gougane Barra to the lively evening at The Brehon, every moment was picture-perfect. The contrast between the two locations gave us a chance to capture a wide range of stunning shots.
